We always love to hear now customers use their stamps. Marshall Luke, of the Luke Piano Company (est. 1972) used his custom stamps manufactured by Simon’s Stamps as part of the restoration of an old upright piano.
To paraphrase Luke: “The stamps we rush ordered were used to restore an old upright to the original 1914 condition. Original plate calligraphy was replaced by photographing the detail, enlarging it, defining the line work, and then returning it to the original size. This was then submitted to Simon’s Stamps as a digital file. After consulting with apprentice Jake Mirow, Simon’s was able to perfect this project. They were quick to turn this project around, and did so in just a few days. Simon’s Stamps is able to help with difficult art projects.”
Continues Luke: “Luke Piano Co. is a nationally known company specializing in restoring historic Steinway and Sons grand pianos. I’ve been remanufacturing pianos for 43 years. Apprentice Jake Mirow is in his third year of schooling with me. Our company is known for exact replacement of a piano’s time vulnerable parts. Soundboards, bridges and pin blocks are manufactured to the exact original dimensions.”
