Featured Customer: Maybelle
We here at Simon’s Stamps have been wanting to write for a while about some of the fabulous designers and artists who order through our website, and when we first began thinking of distinctive artists we thought immediately of Maybelle. She’s a calligrapher based on the West Coast, whose work is so breathtaking that we all want her to work her magic on our address stamps!
We know her through her fabulous calligraphy work as well as her work through Stumasa, but you should have a look at her website for examples of her beautiful design work…her portfolios are truly amazing things. She’s done design work for weddings and family gatherings as well as for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and Gap, Inc. (among others).
You can read more about Maybelle here on her website, as well as learn more about her approach and the specific design elements which go into each of her calligraphic creations.
Our first post!
Welcome to the new blog for Simon’s Stamps!
We’ve been in business since 1989. Originally located in the Amherst, Massachusetts train station, we’re now in a 5,000 square foot (465 square meter) manufacturing and retail space in downtown Greenfield, MA. We’ve grown in every year since we started, because of our dedication to 3 simple business principles:
* Fast Service
* No Mistakes
* Easy Ordering
Yes, Simon’s Stamps concentrates on those three simple ideas. So far, none of our customers have objected. We have hundreds of wholesale accounts (such as print shops and office supply dealers) as well as individual, business, and government customers throughout the world.
But now we’re expanding out into the blogosphere as well; this site’s going to be a place where we’ll introduce you to some of the custom products that we make, how we make them, and what we make them for, as well as a little about the people who work here and the community of which we’re a part.
